FBService.RefreshImgSrc not working

Nov 21, 2007 at 12:52 AM
Hi,

I am trying to push some FBML to the profile box that includes an img tag. For now I want the photo to refresh every time I hit the canvas page - simple place to start. I hit the canvas page, which sets the src of the img and pushes it out with FBService.SetFBML. Then I check out the profile. The photo does not show up. Interestingly, if I drag the application from the wide column to the narrow column, the photo shows up (I got the idea from the facebook developer forum). I understand that facebook caches the image and wonder if that is the cause of my problem. If it is, I believe I can solve this by calling FBService.RefreshImgSrc(). But when I call this in my CanavsFBMLBasePage I get a runtime error. Can I see an example of using FBService.RefreshImgSrc()? Maybe I am missing something.

try running it in a page that is not your base page.

FBService.RefreshImgSrc("http://blar.com/theimage-exactly-as-before.gif");

failing that try setting the setfbml to http://blar.com/theimage-exactly-as-before.gif?anything=nothing

fb say they don't want people doing this but...
