I am getting the same error.  I followed the instructions in the README.txt file word for word and cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.  Please help.

no one is responding.  what is the point of this "Discussion" section?

Hi,

I had the same problem. It was just because the page in question was looking for ~/FBMLMaster.Master as it's Master Page. My site was set up like the Clarity example: http://fbtest.mysite.com/canvas/ but the "canvas" folder needs to be made a virtual directory in order for it to be treated as the app root. Therefore the "~/" bit in the Master Page path looks in http://fbtest.mysite.com/canvas/ rather than in http://fbtest.mysite.com/ (which returns a parser error message like yours).

Does this help?

Thank you, Ed.  Glad to see someone offering to help.  So, what changes do I need to make exactly and how?  Wonder why none of this is mentioned in the README.txt instructions - seems pretty critical for user to know.

Well in all fairness they can't really cover all of the ways you could deploy your site, for example whether you plop it all into a subfolder of your web root or not.  Something like not being able to find the referenced master page is more of a general ASP.NET question and not specific to this toolkit.

Also, in VS be sure you build the solution as a project and not a website.
