Writing a Service that updates Fan Page

Hi -

I'm a newby in developing with the Facebook Developer Toolkit and I find it kind of difficult to get a right start. Don't find so much examples that fits my issue.

What I want to to:

I want to write a service, that runs on my server. The service looks up in a database for new events. If it finds a new event, this event should be posted to my fb fanpage as an new event.

Is this possible? And if so, could you give me some good code-examples to start with?

I don't know how to authenticate without login-page and how to access to my fan page and write events to it.

Hope you can give me a hand.

Greetings -

Hey Tom,

Did you ever figure out how to authenticate without the login page?  I too am working on a service and just want to authenticate to FB.  In fact, I just want to authenticate as a user.

No, not really. I just read something about infinite session.

I think, you have to start a desktop application first, that gives you some keys like the session key. With this keys you can generate an infinite session, so that you don't have to login in manually.

When I know how, I will post it here. Or maybe we will get an answer here? :)

That's why I was posting here. ;-)
